Birthday's at Disney – May 2005
This weekend brought a number of celebrations, as we had Christopher's birthday on the 7th, my Father-In-Law's birthday and Mother's Day on the 8th, and Emily's birthday on the 11th. So, in celebration, my in-laws treated us all to a 4-day trip to Disney World. Well, as you can imagine, we all had a blast.
Day #1: Magic Kingdom
We stayed at the Grand Floridian hotel and found time to enjoy all four theme parks. Friday was spent at Magic Kingdom, letting Christopher pick which rides to enjoy. He drove a racecar with Granny at the Speedway and rode his first roller-coaster in ToonTown.
Day #2: MGM Studios
Saturday we went to MGM Studios and enjoyed the new Extreme Stunt Show. Christopher really got excited when he got to met the Incredibles and the Power Rangers and talked of nothing else for the rest of the day.
Day #3: Epcot
Sunday started with a special Mother's Day buffet at the Epcot World Showcase Pavilion and also featured the International Flower & Garden Festival. The highlight was experiencing the newest Disney ride, Soarin' which just opened this week. It was Awesome!
Day #4: Animal Kingdom
Monday we spent the morning letting Christopoher explore Animal Kingdom before hitting the road back to South Florida. What a exciting, and yet relaxing, vacation!
