Albert Comstock Kahler (1887-1943)
Albert Comstock was the youngest child of Otto Hendrick Kahler (1848-1928) and Geertruda Broere (1853-1904) and born in Sayville, Long Island, New York in 1887. Albert had eight brothers and sisters, five of which survived into adulthood; Gertrude Johanna (1872-1957), Charlotte (1874-1951), Bastian (1876-?), Carl Andrew (1878-1948), and William Conrad (1885-1970).
Albert married Florence Josephine Adams (1895-1993) and had two children, Florence Gertrude (1918-1928) and Albert Comstock Jr. (1925-1986), who were also born in Sayville. Albert worked as first mate with his father, the Captain, on the Point O' Woods Ferry Boat until his father's retirement in 1921 when Albert took over as Captain.
Albert died in 1943.
